Welcome to Auburn Sign
And All of its Furnishings

Model homes are a little like doll houses. It’s fun to peek and pretend you live there. Everything is perfect. The dining table is set to impress, the furniture and accessories dress a room in its fi nest and all the beds are made. Living in a model home would be, well, model living. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could pack your toothbrush and move right in?

A new real estate trend is making its way to Lee County, selling furnished homes. Well, it’s new here but it isn’t exactly a new idea. Vacation hot spots have been at it for years. Buyers want to get in and get to the beach without the hassle and expense of furnishing a second home. If it works for them, it can work for home buyers in Lee County, too. If you are buying your fi rst home or moving your family to a new neighborhood, buying it furnished may be the right idea.

If you are house hunting or just thinking about it, swing by Saugahatchee Pines, a new subdivision just off Saugahatchee Road in Auburn. The thirty three lot neighborhood, being built by Jones & Minear Homebuilders, has a model home you have to see. The 2,125 square foot, two-story home may have everything you’re looking for and more. All the things most new homes have are here; an open fl oor plan, stunning kitchen with stainless appliances, and lavish garden tubs to soak away the day. This fl oor plan has a bonus with the perfect hide-away, a master bedroom sitting room with enough space for seating and media.

Model homes are where builders like to show off. It is impossible to show what they had in mind by looking at an empty house. Jones & Minear turned to an expert to pull it all together for them. Dick Clippel, of Interior Elements in Atlanta, knows just what a model home needs to make it dreamy. It’s what he does everyday. He selects the fabrics, furniture and accessories to show each room’s possibilities and give them warmth. It’s his design that makes you want to move right in. And if you want, you can. Not only is the house for sale empty but it’s also available fully furnished. Everything’s part of the bargain, from the chip-free dishes to the master’s elegant queen bed and all its golden pillows. Just pack your clothes and move right in, everything is ready.

There are a few more perks to keep in mind. Since it is a model home, some elements that are unusual for a new home are already in place. This house comes with an irrigation system that’s up and running and the house is wired for a security system. Nice to have them installed before you even move in.

Saugahatchee Pines isn’t the only new neighborhood with a furnished model for sale. Stop by The Highlands on North Donahue to peek at theirs. Also built by Jones & Minear, this home was designed to be sold furnished and has its own personality that may be a perfect match to yours.

Both homes are open every weekend from 2 to 4 for you take a peek. Stop by and see if you can see yourself living in one of the model homes. You probably will because, after all, it’s a model life.
